Every season there is always one item that haunts me till I finally breakdown (after 10 seconds flat) and just buy it. There are usually certain criteria that this “must own you immediately!” item has. Those are; 1. If I were to walk into a room full of other fashion fans will more than 60% of them ask, “where DID you get that? I MUST know!” and 2. Does this fit seamlessly in with the rest of my closet? Do I have the perfect shoes, bag, jewelry for it? In other words, is this really me?
This season that item has revealed itself to me (and the wise editors of Elle magazine) in the form of Spring and Clifton’s cashmere blend V-Neck cardigan dress ($286). In fact, I hate to admit it, but most of Spring and Clifton’s colorful cashmere blend knits seem to fit my criteria of a “must have you now” item for this season. Their knit T-shirts, tanks, dresses and scarves – would all brighten up my Fall wardrobe without too much of a dent in the old bank account. And they all layer so well with the rest of my closet it seems they have been in it this whole time!
